Analog series from two visits of Giselle at her house in Amatlán de Quetzalcóatl mountains. June, 2022 / October 2023, Mexico.

June 2022

A spontaneous visit to a family friend Giselle, an acupuncture master and herbalist that healed hundreds of people at her home clinic. Born and raised in Mexico city, Giselle has always wanted to live closer to nature and 20 something years ago has moved to the mountains of Amatlán. A truly magical place, filled with an ancient history intertwining with the lush forest, absorbing Giselles house right into it.

Naturally build adobe house is hidden between giant avocado and guava trees. The acupuncture / herbal clinic is build from adobe base and bamboo second floor. Ground floor is used for storing dozens of glass jars and hanging drying herbs, a round shape room that became our bedroom for the night.

A years later, I had a chance to visit Giselle again and bring her the photo prints of her home and her that she was very excited to receive. She invited me to take even more photos of her lovely home, to inspire more people consider living more sustainably and in harmony with the nature around them.
